Office Block the Shore, Leith.

In 1989 our client bought the Lawson Donaldson Seed warehouse and this gap site on the Shore at Leith. The Grade B listed Lawson Donaldson Building (shown to the right of the new office block) was converted to form 52 flats and we were pleased to also be the architects for that project.

The office block forms part the site of the old Kings Wark in Leith. The office block was designed to acknowledge the form of the old Northern Mail Building (to the far right in the sketch) and is a five-storey open plan steel framed building with a pub - restaurant housed on the ground floor.
